I imagined an oasis in urban jungle can be doing yoga in big cities such as New York and Seoul. Handstands were my passion since yoga became my major hobby, and it is the most difficult asana. I wanted to make one big image in an accordion book format, and used the 3D effects for the books. 10 editions of silkscreen all done by my hands made in 2015, and David Sandlin was the mentor. Blog
I'm glad this book was exhibited at the IPCNY - Commedia: New Prints 2015/Autumn selected by Tomas Vu Blog
This book was made in 2008 while I was attending School of Visual Arts' BFA Illustration program. I had three western roommates at that time, and one day we went to a sushi restaurant in Gramercy park. They were so excited, but didn't know how to eat sushi properly. I realized that I should make an instruction for American people and then this book was born for that reasons. 10 copies and all done by my hands using silkscreen. Mentor was David Sandlin.

I got big inspirations while I was listened to Estelle's' American Boy song. I was also surprised by the size of American eggplants, so the character Miss Eggplant was created as any size girl can fit into it! It was for the Book Show project while I was at the SVA's MFA Illustration program in 2010 with instructors; Marshall Arisman and Carl Titolo. The most enjoyable project I've ever done! Couldn't stop laughing while I was drawing!!
Wow! Thanks for these awards!---

This series was for the senior project while I was attending Tomer Hanuka's portfolio class at the School of Visual Arts in 2009. I wanted to criticize Asia's plastic surgery culture, so I made buddhas as doctors and flogs as the women who had desires for better appearances. I also made four copies of handmade books related to the theme.
While these pieces were consigned at the Desert Island, Show Time Nurse Jackie 's interior staff bought my prints and they became a part of Funky East Village set for the show. So I captured my works from Showtime Nurse Jackie Season2 Ep11!

After I accepted into SVA's MFA Illustration program, I wanted to try a big challenge for myself being vegan. I was planning to do that for two years Blog, but I ended up doing it two and a half years. Also some HOT New Yorker friends around me were vegan, so they gave me lots of inspirations. Being vegan became my thesis project worked on in 2010 to 2011. This book was about The health and environmental benefits resulting from a vegan diet. I made four copies and all done by hands with silkscreen. Mentors were David Sandlin and Josh Cochran. Blog, Thesis Show

This was the first project I was done in Viktor Koen's class in 2009 at the SVA MFAI program. He gave twenty of us a story titled Buying Lenin which was about capitalist grand son and his communist grandpa. David Sandlin helped me while I was made this as double-sided opened book. All done by my hands with silkscreen, and only two editions.

I made this handmade book in 2010 while I was attending Carol Fabricatore's Drawing class at SVA MFAI program. This project had to be drawing on location, and vendors in NYC attracted me enough to made a book. I drew with thick pencils, and did hand sewn book binding. So sad...only few copies left, but I loved the concept!
I was dreaming of making a graphic novel about my ex-bfs stories from all ages until now, and in the middle school, I had the worst experience from the boy I was crushed on. But I call him as my second "ex" boyfriend because I liked him a lot. Actually, I wasn't that serious. lol
